“Oh! My safety glasses are full of scratches, I couldn’t see anything to work”. Have you ever faced this problem before? Some elements that will cause scratches for my product are sparks, dirt, seizure, etc. To maintain my welding work in the best condition, I have to remove these marks and keep the lenses transparent.

During the working process, I have tried many ways to protect my product and have found seven special tips. The first formula: Using polymer polishing kit for the safety glasses

Materials:

• The kit.
• Soft and small cloth.

This formula is the easiest way to follow because you just need to buy the safety glasses polishing kit. This equipment can be found efficiently at several convenience and grocery stores. Before starting to get marks out of your product, you need to read instructions or directions carefully. Because each tool or brand will have different ways of usage. Remember that this way is effective in deleting light scratches.

Using polymer polishing kit

Step 1: Unpackaging the kit and reading instructions carefully to get the information about the dried period.

Step 2: Apply a liquid of product into the light marks.

Step 3: Use the included brush applicator to rub those scratches gently.

Step 4: Let the product dry depending on the suggested period.

Step 5: Wipe the glasses with a small and soft cloth.

The second formula: Apply scratch remover

Materials:

• Non-abrasive toothpaste (Or a mixture of baking soda and water).
• Cotton ball.
• Some cool water.

Step 4: When getting marks out of your product, you ought to use some cool water to rinse the solution.

The third formula: Use vehicle cleaning wax

Materials:

• Vehicle cleaning wax.
• Raw cloth.

Don’t worry when using vehicle cleaning wax for your safety glasses. Although this tool often uses to polish vehicles or cars, it is still good to remove scratches, especially from glass and plastic materials. Besides that, you should equip raw clothes to prevent adhesion of the wax into the fabric.

Step 1: Take little wax into the raw cloth.

Step 2: Rub the scratched areas gently.

The fourth formula: Mixture of glass cleaner and soap

Materials:

• Glass cleaner or window cleaner.
• A little dish soap.
• Soft cloth.
• Microfiber cloth.

Using glass cleaner with soap

Step 1: Pour cleaner into a bowl. Then, put little drops of dish soap into that.

Step 2: Use that mixture to scrub the lenses gently with a clean and soft cloth.

Step 3: Rinse the glasses with water and use a microfiber cloth to dry them.

The fifth formula: Use a baby wash

Materials:

• Baby wash.
• Soft cloth.
• Warm water.

If you enjoy using natural materials without chemicals, this formula is the best way for you to refer. Furthermore, this tip can help you not only get current scratches out of safety glasses, but it also prevents a build-up of marks on the lenses in the future.

Step 1: Put several drops of baby wash into warm water.

• White vinegar.
• Baking soda.

These materials are easy to find in your house and completely safe for your glasses.

Using white vinegar

Step 1: Mix vinegar and baking soda until you see the foam.

Step 2: Wait the foam be subsided and the mixture becomes cleaning solution.

Step 3: Apply these mixture on the scratches and wipe it gently.

The seventh formula: Use rubbing alcohol

Materials:

• Rubbing alcohol.
• Baking soda.
• Microfiber cloth.

This formula can use to remove scratches on your safety glasses and keep the product clean. So you can try this tip to take care of the lenses daily even you have already removed entire marks.

Step 1: Mix rubbing alcohol and baking soda into a bowl.

Step 2: Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the scratches.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 until your product is clean.

I have tried those formulas to clean and take care of my safety glasses. Depending on the condition of the scratches that you can use suitable materials and formula. But you should remember that each lens will have a different texture, don’t try too many chemicals on that to avoid losing transparent of glasses.
