Cut the 1x4s and 2x4s into the following lengths: four 29-inch pieces, two 14.5-inch pieces, and two 17.5-inch pieces. Next, drill pocket holes into each end of the 29-inch boards and both ends of the 14.5-inch boards. Now it’s time to assemble the frame of the chair. Take two 29-inch boards and attach them to the 14.5-inch boards using pocket screws. Repeat this step with the remaining 29-inch and 14.5-inch boards. For the chair seat, cut a piece of foam padding to size (29×14 inches) and wrap it in fabric, stapling it on the underside. Attach this to the frame of the chair using staples or upholstery tacks.
